Thursday, June 18th

Miss Riley Roo has been MIA for a couple days due to the fact that she is 2 and very adamant about what she wants lately. AKA A TERRIBLE TWO. She had a sleepover with her Great Grandma and cousin Hailey and it was bliss for both her and I, thanks for asking. But we are back to fashion, blogging and playdates now!
Today's outfit is a surprise favorite from last summer's Janie and Jack Summer Boardwalk line. I purchased it less than a week ago and am absolutely loving it on her! Accessorize it!: The shoes are Gymboree, the bow is from Pink Hippo and I made the bracelet at eyebead Gemstone.

Monday, June 15th

I love. love. love. these ruffles. Remember when I was beyond sad about our too-small Gracie May knot? Browsing through etsy as I do generally once a .....day--I spotted a new seller, vintagepearl(e?) and fell fast in love with these darling ruffles made of the same fabric as the apron of the Gracie May. Click. Buy. Mine. LOVE them on with a plain tank from Old Navy and a flowerband from the wonderful Jessica at LittleBeautyBoutique (closing soon--make your orders before they're gone!)

Friday, June 12th

The weather wasn't fab today, so we took a trip to the mall for a little watermelon retail therapy. I have never had so many people compliment Riley's outfit as much as today--and trust me, we have been stopped A TON everyday for the past two years of her life. All over a simple Gymboree knit set! It boggles my mind, really. But I think it had something to do with these gorgeous bows from the lovely Amanda. This knit set was picked up at the Fill A Bag sale for $5.34 a piece. No joke. I stocked up on them as they make great play outfits, and are apparently the cutest outfits a few dozen Grandma's had ever seen. From Gymboree's new line, Watermelon Picnic.

Wednesday, June 10th

Sorry about the horrible picture quality, the past few days I've barely remembered to breathe so much as take cute pictures for the blog. I shall work on that, I promise.
Today is another one from Janie & Jack. She was wearing a matching shirt, however every shirt she has worn in the past couple days have needed to have multiple oxy soaks as she thinks shirts are creative outlets for markers, makeup and the occasional sharpie. Hooray. Why do I buy her nice clothing again? Oh yeah, I forgot--it's because I'm insane. :D

Tuesday, June 9th

Today we stayed at home, but dressed up anyway in Janie & Jack's Enchanted Butterfly. I have a closet system so she gets to wear all of her clothing, and this happened to be near the end of the line. I don't know why, but I just don't love it like I imagined I would. It runs big too, being a 2t when she is pretty firmly in a 3t now. The butterfly bow has her name in block letters on the side and was made by the adorable etsy shop, Tiffnthrifty. Her bows are inexpensive yet so adorable-- check her out if you are in the market for toddler bows! The shoes are the typical Gymboree sandals and she is wearing her "pretty" that I made at eyeBead gemstone. Having already worn this outfit recently makes me feel like I should do a little less blogging, and a little more shopping.....

Sunday, June 7th

Today was my brother's graduation party (high school). As you can see, Riley was not too thrilled to be in attendance of a party not centered around her. However, she did look darling in her Matilda Jane Katie Lou & big leafy ruffles.

Friday, June 5th

Today Riley was decked out in Gymboree's Mermaid Magic line from head to toe. Riley demanded this shirt one day during a Gymboree meltdown and I obliged, it had been so long since I shopped Gymbo! Our friend Amanda made the LOVELY made to match bows Riley is wearing here. Here is a better picture of them:
She should be open for business shortly and I will post as soon as it happens, her adorable bows are the perfect match to any special outfit :) See you Monday!

Thursday, June 4th

Today was Riley's playdate with a brand new friend, Peytiebugs. We played dress up and Riley curiously stared at her new mini friend in awe while Peyton's mommy and I took pictures of her for her 3 month photoshoot. For amateurs, the photos turned out great :) While we were busy with that, Riley threw on her tutu from her 1st birthday party. This was originally a dress but she made it a skirt today--which seemed to be the theme of the day as her first outfit was a Matilda Jane halter knot (Miso Pretty Ellie Halter) brought down & tied to become a skirt. I've always wanted to try it and finally made my mind up to do so after seeing Bekki of Confessions from a Daughter's Closet took the plunge. It turned out alright, but I think I prefer this particular piece as a top. The tank is a plain cheapy piece from Old Navy and I made the flowerband, which seemed to match perfectly with her drama queen attitude today!

Wednesday, June 3rd

First of all....CONGRATULATIONS to AquaSocks--the winner of my first successful blog contest! I'm sending a pair of Baby Gap Batik Chic ballet flats her way! Thanks to all who participated! :)

Riley picked out her own outfit today, for the most part anyway. I have said before that it is a successful outfit day if the tutu stays in the closet, well by that standard today was unsuccesful as she wanted it immediately. Her diaper showed because of how short the tutu is, so I cut some Gymboree tights and made them footless. Since she was in a tempremental mood, I saw the Little Monster Baby Gap tank fitting for today. She is wearing a plain white toddler bow from Pink Hippo as well.

Tuesday, June 2nd

FINALLY ALL CAUGHT UP! WOOHOO!

Today Riley wore a favorite from Janie & Jack's Island Summer line. The shrug seems to run a little big, thankfully--maybe one outfit will last us all summer!

Can you tell her piggies are growing? The minute we step outside the humidity curls them up and shrinks them but I am happy to report her hair is coming in!

Free Gap Batik Chic size 7 flats to whomever can identify Mommy's purse in the background (the brand) ;) Seriously! It's a contest! WOOHOO!

Friday, May 29th

Snapped this without looking at the camera settings! I was in a hurry to get her off to the grandparents for a weekend free from two year old monster-ness! She is wearing a knit dress from Daisy Days or something from Gymboree with the matching flower clip. Tried something new with her hair today, what do you think?

Thursday, May 28th

Today we went out to Saylorville again, it seems to be a once a week activity in the summer now that we live so close, and Riley sported a pretty new knit dress from Baby Gap with a tank underneath because of how low it dips, no baby cleav here thanks. The flower clip is a beautiful creation by Jessica at Little Beauty Boutique on etsy, I feel like we wear something from there daily! Riley is such a water baby, if only I didn't have student loans--we could buy a boat and float down the river for weeks!

Wednesday, May 27th

Ten days later and we're already repeating this favorite from Naartjie! I don't think Riley will fit into the pants for long, they're already becoming bermudas but I just love the frilly cuteness so much that I want to utilize them as much as possible before they retire to the bins.

And if anyone happens to spot these Naartjie ruffle pants in a size 2, 3 or 4--I'm your gal ;)

Tuesday, May 26th

Despite the fact that it is slightly stained, I adore the Matilda Jane lacey tank Riley is wearing in this picture. When I opened up my MJ box many months ago, I was admittedly a little disappointed in it but the minute Riley wore it I thought it was perfect. Simple and comfy but at the same time frilly and girly. Definitely a keeper. Today I paired it with Gap chambray jeans, Target shoes and a LBB headband.

Riley's Birthday Party Ensemble

Her memorial day party was a success in this gorgeous Princess dress from Isobella & Chloe. It retailed for $190 and I picked it up for $48 a couple days before her party! For a steal like that, it knocked the other outfit option out of the park. The beautiful flower clip is from Little Beauty Boutique and I absolutely adore it. It completed the ensemble so perfectly, I HIGHLY reccomend LBB to anyone who is in the market for some gorgeous flowerbands or bows! She is wearing a bracelet from eyebead gemstone assembled by me, and a necklace with her R initial on it from an etsy shop. Overall, I adore this outfit and am searching for a dressy event to show this baby off again! I can't believe my princess is two!
